Ingredients

  • 1 c, thick cubed | Bold Peppenero® Hot Habanero Garlic Ham
  • 2 large, beaten | Eggs
  • 3 stalks, chopped, (separate the white and green parts) | Green onions
  • 2 cloves, minced | Garlic
  • 2 c, day-old | Jasmine Rice
  • 1 tbsp | Butter
  • 1 tsp | Cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp | Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp | Chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 tsp for drizzling | Sesame oil

Method

  1. Heat the oil and butter in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cubed Peppenero ham. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until the edges turn slightly crispy.
  2. Toss the minced garlic and the white parts of the chopped green onions into the pan. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Push the ham and aromatics to one side of the pan. Pour the beaten eggs into the empty space. Scramble them gently until they are just set.
  4. Add the cold day-old jasmine rice directly into the pan. Break up any large clumps with your spatula. Stir everything together thoroughly.
  5. Drizzle the soy sauce over the rice and sprinkle the chicken bouillon powder evenly. Toss continuously for 2 to 3 minutes until the rice is heated through and evenly coated.
  6. Turn off the heat. Drizzle the sesame oil over the rice and toss in the remaining green onion greens. Serve hot.
